Help / Our packagings

For each order, PictoOnline.fr offers you a default packaging option.
This packaging is designed to ensure the integrity of the content, whether for in-store pick-up or shipping.
These default packaging options are free of charge!

We offer different default packaging types depending on the order's characteristics and shipping method.

For orders available for pick-up at Picto Bastille or Picto Grand Paris:

  • For small-format prints (up to 24cm x 30cm): we use white envelopes sized 24cm x 30cm. For larger quantities, we pack the prints in cardboard boxes ranging from 21.5cm x 15cm x 10cm up to 30cm x 21.5cm x 28cm.
  • For single larger-size prints: we use flat white cardboard packaging in various sizes: 40cm x 50cm and 50cm x 60cm as needed.
  • For large-format prints: we use cardboard tubes up to 145cm long, or rectangular boxes (referred to as “coffins”) depending on the case (large quantities, certain inkjet papers, etc.).
  • For all rigid media: prints are wrapped in bubble wrap with corner protectors to avoid any damage. Nielsen frames are wrapped in bubble wrap packs.
  • Packaging for large-format flexible media such as banners, vinyl, wallpaper/satin/blue-back paper is done using a core. The print is rolled around a 7.5cm diameter core, 1m to 2m long depending on the print size, with an additional 4cm. For pick-up, a protective bubble wrap is added around the core and the print.
packaging for shipping

For orders shipped via La Poste, Colissimo, Chrono13, France Express, or by courier:

  • For small-format prints (up to 30cm x 40cm): we use standard reinforced cardboard envelopes smaller than 30cm x 40cm. For large quantities, prints are packed in cardboard boxes ranging from 21.5cm x 15cm x 10cm up to 30cm x 21.5cm x 28cm.
  • For larger prints (over 30cm x 40cm), we use cardboard tubes up to 145cm long, or rectangular boxes (“coffins”) depending on the case (large quantities, certain inkjet papers, etc.).
  • For rigid media, we use flat cardboard boxes up to 101cm x 82cm.
    • Beyond this size, we use "PF cardboard", a honeycomb cardboard that we cut to size.
    • The rigid-mounted print is placed on an additional honeycomb board to ensure its integrity.
  • For Nielsen frames, they are wrapped in thick bubble wrap, taped to a reinforcement board, and then placed in a cardboard box (4 sizes ranging from 56cm x 47cm to 82cm x 101cm).
  • For American box frames and Plexi mounts larger than 50cm x 60cm:
    • We use custom-made “Zanzibar” boxes — honeycomb cardboard boxes designed for optimal protection of the finished product.
  • Packaging for large-format flexible media such as banners, vinyl, wallpaper/satin/blue-back paper is done using a core.
    • The print is rolled around a 7.5cm diameter core, 1m to 2m long depending on the print size, with an additional 4cm.
    • Then, the entire core, print, and bubble wrap are wrapped in a blank banner for additional protection, particularly against tearing.
packaging for shipping

In some cases, it is possible to purchase packaging different from the default one (only if flat packing is requested for pick-up or shipping). This packaging will then be charged, and the cost added to your current order's cart.

Purchasable packaging options are offered during the cart confirmation step, just below the listed prints on the first confirmation page of your order.
These packaging options cannot be modified once the order has been placed.

Finally, despite the great care our teams take in preparing the packaging, damage may still occur during delivery by a carrier (La Poste, Colissimo, UPS, France Express, DHL, or courier).

If your order's products are damaged, we will reprint and ship your order again at no cost!
